Environmental Permitting

Even though your industry may not be aware of the need, many projects may require several environmental permits from several regulatory agencies at several different levels of government. GL Environmental, Inc. can identify the types of permits your project requires, submit all necessary documentation to the appropriate regulatory agencies, and provide baseline or ongoing environmental monitoring services to ensure compliance with your environmental permits.

Our Environmental Permitting services include obtaining a wide variety of federal, state, and local environmental permits for compliance with the:

  • Clean Water Act, which includes wetland delineations and NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) permits for industrial and construction stormwater discharges.
  • Clean Air Act, which includes National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS)
  • Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and its associated amendment, the Emergency Preparedness and Community Right‐to‐know Act (SARA Title III), which provides the basis for Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments
  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
  • Endangered Species Act (ESA), which protects various plant and animal species, as well as their habitat.
  • National Historic Preservation Act
  • National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), a special class of environmental permitting that requires any project with a federal component (i.e. federal monies, federal lands, federal agencies, etc.) to disclose potential environmental impacts of proposed actions.
